If you are a frustrated freebie hunter, then here are a couple of facts that you should be aware of:

# The largest selection of freebies is offered to US residents and citizens. You can get truely amazing giveaways by simply googling the brand you desire and adding the word “coupons” or “free samples”.

# Canada, the UK and Australia are also offering a not-so-small selection of freebies, but a little more patience and perseverance are required in order to find these freebies.

# If you are looking for freebies in any other country, you will find that most freebies are downloadable softwares like Babylon and colorful toolbars like Make a Cartoon of Yourself toolbar.

So, how can you get freebies even if there are no freebie sites like My Freebie in your country? A couple of tips I gathered can help you get find relevant freebies in your area:

1. Personal contact – If you are looking for a specific sample, you can contact the company who is manufacturing / selling it and try to get one sent to you. You’ll be surprised by the positive reactions that you can get.
2. Search in your own language – If there is a local word for “freebies”, use it. You might come across small blogs advertising free sample giveaways or big companies offering you a sample. Try looking at the sponsored ad results – some will re-direct you to a form where you can leave your details to get your sample in the mail
3. Conventions and shows – If you want to put in a little extra effort, get out of the house. It could be in your local mall or at an open-to-the-public sales promotion event, but you can collect tons of freebies in one place without doing anything (or just by leaving your name and email)

Once you do find something, share it. Open a blog, or simply post it in a relevant forum or in someone else’s freebie blog. Once companies will see rising demand in your area, you can expect a larger supply as well.
